From the Eyes of a 5 Year Old

My favorite thing about Avleigh is she’s so sweet and small.

I think she’s awesome and love that she’s my sister. I don’t care if she cry’s on me because I will make her happy. I like to play Simon Says with her.

It was cool that she came in my classroom. I told my friends that she’s born special from god but can’t walk or talk. I get to play with her a lot because she can’t run away from me like my other friends can.

I like to help mommy by giving her medicine at 7:00 and 8:00. I feel bad for Avleigh because I don’t like when she goes to the hospital and they give her shots and put a line through her belly. It makes me sad.

I really want to see her ride the bus with me. I will tell my friends that I will ride a different bus with my sister. I love when she plays with me. It makes me happiest when she laughs and stops crying. I think she cries because she’s lonely and sad. She’s sad because she wants me. She smiles when she sees me. Makes me think she loves me a whole bunch, more than the earth.

Love Alyssa

  1. Alyssa, you are such an awesome, big sister! Seeing this through your eyes shows me and others the innocence of child. This is the sweetest little blog I have ever read. Keep making Avleigh smile and always love her more every day. She is beautiful and so are you. Congratulations on your first blog!

  2. This is so perfect to include her stories so she will have these memories to look back on when she is all grown up. Your patience is never ending and will be your blessings in the future. hugs, Sharon.
